Illegal Occupation of Palestine
This is for Palestine, Ramallah, West Bank, Gaza,
This is for the child that is searching for the answer,
I wish I could take your tears and replace them with laughter,
Long live Palestine, Long live Gaza!!
She is a holy land, spirit of justice, in the face of prisons, walls, borders, and genocide. Palestine, thy name is worthy. She holds her children close, and strikes the hearts and minds of the occupiers. She takes pollutants of Israel, and grows sick daily. She is always cry everyday because her sons being martyrs.
Palestine, now occupied and named Israel, was host to plentiful prophets and the home of many great civilizations. In 1920, following the fall down of the Ottoman Empire in World War I, Palestine fell under western occupation, political borders were forced upon the region for the first time in nearly 2,000 years under the British occupation, expediently named “Mandate”. Today this geographical area is separated into Israel (conventional in May 1948 over land engraved out of historic Palestine by western powers using the UN all without consulting with the local Palestinian population), the West Bank and the Gaza Strip both of which Israel occupied in 1967. The struggle between the Israelis and the Palestinians is one of the longest and most enduring and explosive of all the world’s conflicts. For the Palestinians the last 100 years have brought colonization, expulsion and military occupation, followed by a long and difficult search for self-determination. For the Jewish Israelis, they accept as true to be the land of their forefathers, after centuries of discrimination around the world, the return to this self proclaimed “home land” has not brought peace or security. After decades of living under occupation, a popular Palestinian uprising (Intifada 1987 – 1992) against Israeli rule, brought about a variety of peace negotiations the first of which was the Oslo peace process. Palestinian cities, villages, and most of the 19 official refugee camps were transferred to a self-governing Palestinian Authority under the Oslo “peace process”. The area, however, remained under Israeli occupation with full Israeli military control.
This illegal occupation is actuating world activists to break the siege of Gaza. Remember Rachel Corrie, USA activist, she was die crushed by Israel’s bulldozer. When she tried to shield Palestinian’s house. Then, Italian activist, named Vittorio Arrigoni. A man who lived and died to express his solidarity with Palestinians. He was big-hearted and he was brave, twice participating in blockade-defying sea voyages to Gaza, three times jailed by Israel for his activism. His murder is an indignation and an massive tragedy. He was one of the voices which told the world about the brutality of the Israeli invasion.
Beside that, don’t forget about Freedom Flotilla I, Mavi Marmara, attacked by Israelis soldiers in International Sea, killing nine activists and injuring over 50 others. Despite extensive blame and an UN-commissioned investigation that found Israel’s acts illegal, possibly amounting to war crimes, Israel has yet to be held responsible. Families of the victims killed on the Mavi Marmara await justice and millions of Palestinians continue to require their human rights respected. On June 2011, the Freedom Flotilla 2, Stay Human, will be held to break siege of Gaza by Zionist Israel.
There are no people allowed Israel killing children, destroy Al Aqsa Mosque, kidnap children and blocked Palestinian. Speak for Palestine now!
Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and Atheists unite together as one in support and solidarity for Freedom of Palestine. Palestine is in my heart, my blood, my flesh and bones. Free Palestine, and let her neighbor die. Freedom!! Palestine tomorrow will be free.
Note: [According to the Geneva Conventions, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and numerous United Nations resolutions, all Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories are illegal. Most settlement outposts are considered illegal under Israeli law.]
